Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy describes how Built By The Trades ("we," "us," or "our"), the maker of Goose, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website and the Goose platform.
See also our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, trade type, job role, and team size when you sign up for our waitlist, create an account, or are added to your company's account by an administrator.
Because Goose is a sales coaching and call intelligence platform, we collect and process call recordings, audio, voice data, and transcripts that you or your organization upload, or that are captured during recorded calls and practice sessions. We also generate derived data from this content, including scores, summaries, coaching insights, and analytics.
Where your organization enables GPS-triggered auto-recording, we collect location data from the device used to start, stop, and verify recording sessions against job-site addresses. Location data is used only for the recording features your organization has enabled.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our website and application, including your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages or features used. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect this data.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; to record, transcribe, score, and analyze calls and practice sessions; to generate coaching briefs, training recommendations, and team analytics for managers and administrators; to process your registration and communicate with you about the platform; to send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages; to respond to your comments, questions, and support requests; and to monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our services.
We do not use the contents of your call recordings or transcripts to train third-party general-purpose AI models.
AI and Third-Party Service Providers
Goose relies on trusted third-party service providers to deliver core features. Audio is processed by speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers, and transcripts and related content are processed by AI providers to generate scores, summaries, and coaching insights. These providers act as our subprocessors and are contractually bound to use the data only to provide services to us.
Where your organization connects a customer relationship management (CRM) system, we exchange data with that CRM — such as appointments, job details, and customer context — solely to provide the integration features your organization has enabled.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Within your organization, call data, scores, and analytics may be visible to managers, administrators, and account owners in accordance with their role and your company's configuration of the platform.
We may share information with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Goose, our users, or others.
Recording Consent
Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. You and your organization are responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable law before recording a call. Goose provides consent controls, including a per-user recording-consent acknowledgement and the ability to disable recording features, but does not provide legal advice regarding your recording obligations.
Data Security
We implement a variety of administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. Your information is stored behind secured networks and is accessible only by a limited number of persons who have special access rights and are required to keep the information confidential.
Sensitive information transmitted to us is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS). We do not store payment card information on our servers.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information, call recordings, and transcripts for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide services to your organization, or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention of call data may also be governed by your organization's settings and agreements with us. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information, please contact us at the email address provided below.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, subject to your organization's administration of its account. You may also opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages. If you opt out, we may still send non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relationship. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
Third-Party Links
Our website and application may include or offer third-party products, services, or links. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@heygoose.com.
